Got Taylor Swift Tickets?

Since the pandemic, concerts have been a thing of the past, but when Taylor Swift announced she had a tour, the internet went wild with ‘Swifties’ trying to buy re-sale tickets from StubHub at around $1,000 when Taylor Swift’s intentions for tickets were to only be up to $400. ABC News released a special on Night Line showcasing the controversy surrounding the ticket scandal. Nichol Humbert stated in the interview that she tried to get tickets but was kicked out of every state online she attempted to buy tickets. She adds that “that was a very hard reality to accept.” More so, a sale day from Ticketmaster was even canceled due to the high demand of people trying to buy tickets. Fans like Nichol became outraged and blamed Ticketmaster. Taylor Swift even released an apology to her Instagram account, saying that she apologized for Ticketmaster’s website crash and that she tried to prepare Ticketmaster for this demand. As mentioned before, many people who purchased tickets re-sold them for double the price. More so, with tickets being sold on Stubhub for double the price, true fans are left disheartened like Nichol. Taylor Swift as in her apology statement did not intend for any of this to happen, but Ticketmaster controls how tickets are distributed. More so, Taylor Swift gained more popularity, with 10 of her songs hitting all of the top ten in Billboard Hot 100s, making the scandal between Ticketmaster and Taylor Swift gain popularity on the internet. Without a doubt, there is no reason why ticket sales would not be in high demand due to Taylor Swift’s increasing popularity and fame over the years. Furthermore, Taylor Swift, as seen in previous years has taken the internet by storm, with fans outraged and disheartened by ticket sales on Ticketmaster.
